‘Whatever It Takes’ Mentality by Democrats to Jail Trump Could Ignite the Nation
There are dates that live in infamy in American history that have forever altered the political, economic, cultural and spiritual lives of Americans then – and in the future. December 7th, 1941, and September 11th, 2001, are two such dates.
Will July 11th, 2024, be another transformational day in American history?
Americans should be very concerned about the convergence of unique and corrupt forces that threaten our Republic like dark clouds that are forming for that “perfect storm”. Although these developing circumstances are unique to the USA, we have seen these Banana Republic scenarios played out in other countries throughout history – and they don’t end well. The signs are all there, hiding in plain sight, yet most of American media is purposely ignoring them and the public has yet to grasp the potential severity of the calamity that may beset us all on July 11th.
The only major legal hurdle for Trump before the election is the July 11th sentencing date. What are Trump’s odds of being sentenced to a jail term? Surely, jailing a former president and the presumptive nominee from one of the two major American political parties is not a realistic scenario – or is it? An imprisoned Trump keeps him off the campaign trail past Election Day and even potentially past a January 20th, 2025, inauguration day if elected.
The Democrats reek of desperation. Desperate regimes who try to hold onto to absolute power as public sentiment swings in the opposite direction have resulted in dire consequences throughout history. Everything the Democrats have tried to dislodge Trump – including the Russia hoax and two impeachment trials hasn’t worked. Desperate regimes do desperate things. For Democrats, it will be incumbent on Judge Merchan to sentence Trump to a jail term to prevent the horror of another Donald J. Trump presidency.
The die is already cast.
Consider these clues:
Clue #1 – Trumps Dramatic Rise in the Polls – Democrats completely misread the impact of the lawfare waged against Trump. The Democrats wrongly guessed that Americans would not seriously consider electing someone who has been indicted on 34 felony counts in New York while still awaiting trials in Georgia and a trial in his Top-Secret documents case by Biden’s Justice Department. Instead, Americans for the most part have recognized the absurdity of the claims against Trump as America generally considers Trump now as an underdog – and America loves an underdog and especially one suffering an injustice.
Clue #2 – Trump As A “Convicted Felon” Backfires – The result of the sham trial by a corrupt prosecutor, judge and a Democratic jury pool that led to a surprising 34 felony convictions (many legal experts predicted a hung jury) have led to record fundraising for Trump and big bump in the polls, including the critical battleground states. If the Democrat strategists were counting on Americans not to support a convicted felon on the Republican ticket, they whiffed completely.
Clue #3 – Biden’s Deteriorating Cognitive State – It is now impossible to explain away Biden’s “special moments” where he is lost on stage, freezes in public, forgets names, lies about his own background, uses cue cards or simply strings jumbled words together that make no sense whatsoever. Even longtime Democratic Party powerbrokers like David Axelrod and James Carville are telling fellow Democrats that Biden needed to step down and get off the ticket – and that Kamala Harris has zero chance to carry the ticket back to the White House on her own.
Clue #4 – Moving the Presidential Debate to June – Never in American history has there been a presidential debate conducted when the two leading candidates have not officially been nominated by their respective Parties. Clearly, they began to recognize this in the last election cycle by keeping Biden in his basement. Despite the rules of this first debate clearly meant to protect Biden, the odds of Biden having a cognitive gaffe are likely better than 50/50. What better way for the Democrats to push Biden out and usher in Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama to save the day? Is this a litmus test for the Democrats to either test Biden – or prove he needs to be off the ticket? If Biden stumbles, the pressure ratchets exponentially for the Democrats that much more.
Clue #5 – Trump’s Shocking Gains in polling data with Black, Minority and Union Worker Voters – Black voters have been a rock-solid staple for Democratic votes in presidential elections for decades. The fact Trump has made serious inroads with black male voters is rocking Democrats to the core. Black male voters are sympathetic to the persecution of Trump and relate more with his celebrity status than a decrepit old white man who can’t string two sentences together. Trump’s ways with the average working American and the state of the economy are the difference in key battleground states that are heavily working class and unionized. It is clear a significant percentage of union workers will break from their union bosses when they are in the voting booth.
Clue#6 – Trump’s Other Trials Are Pushed Past the Election – The Georgia case against Trump is on life support and will not be held before the election. The Justice Department’s prosecution of the classified documents case continues to hit roadblocks and the federal judge has delayed the case past the election.
At this juncture, very few news outlets are predicting Judge Merchan to sentence Trump to actual prison time. We can expect a trickle, then a constant Democratic and mainstream media drumbeat for jail time to pick up steam the closer we get to the sentencing date. Trump isn’t fooled by this, and neither should we be. Trump was unmerciful in his multiple daily attacks on Judge Merchan (and rightfully so) outside the New York courtroom. It would be foolhardy to believe he didn’t take those attacks personally and proof of this can easily be seen by Merchan’s jury instructions that were so narrow that a conviction was pre-ordained. Merchan would like nothing more than to sentence Trump to jail time. Don’t be surprised if Merchan sentences Trump to a minimum of one year at Rikers Island prison. Democrats openly fantasize about Trump being led away in handcuffs and shackles and there is some scholarly debate whether Merchan can actually have Trump put into the general prison population.
Imagine a scenario where thousands of MAGA Trump supporters are outside the courtroom for the sentencing hearing only to be matched by every radical leftist group in existence, including Hamas protestors and Antifa. What happens in the courtroom itself when Merchan orders Trump to go to jail for one year and the NYPD attempts to cuff and take Trump from the court room to be remanded to Rikers immediately – and not allow him free pending an appeal?
After all, the only thing Democrats would rather see than Trump being jailed is having Trump shanked by another prisoner and killed. The Democrats hate Trump that much.
What is the reaction of his personal immediate Secret Service detail? Will there be a scuffle in the courtroom that bleeds out into the streets of New York and eventually to the main streets of America? How ugly and/or violent could this get? How much would America’s enemies love to see this unfold. How do the American and global economic markets react?
While this scenario is uncharted territory historically for America, it’s par for the course for the Banana Republic we have become.
Sentencing Trump to jail would result in the Merchan family having to enter the witness protection program.

It seems that you are fomenting violence prior to the November elections, and you are using lies to do it. I don’t understand how an intelligent person can believe ANY of what you said, including yourself. So what do you stand to gain (besides attention) by this?
They neither ‘reek’ nor ‘wreak’ of desperation, unfortunately. Why would they? Judge Mershon will send Donald Trump to prison on Ja sham conviction and there i will be no revolution. When have the Republicans ever lifted one finger to protect their own? Did they utter the least protest when the Jan. 6th detainees were denied due process and punished beyond reason for their alleged transgressions? Did they lift one finger to save the Last Republican President and their de facto nominees from the ‘shoot to kill’ raised on Mar-a-Lago, being indicted, as he says, more times that Al Capone, and being dragged through a kangaroo court of the flimsiest of charges? What happened to Jim Jordan’ “Weaponization of Government” committee? The ‘defund the DOJ” movement? A disgrace like the modern-day Republican Party has not been seen since the French Dauphin abandoned Joan of Arc to the tender mercies of the British. The Party of Lincoln which once stood up to slaveholders and secessionists will ill go meekly into that good night.

REASON? They will force the SUPREME COURT to reverse that …
thus the democrats will use that as a ‘campaign slogan’ that SCOTUS is in the tank for Trump …
and … down the road in this election cycle … should additional election issues confront SCOTUS …
(knowing they have already ruled in FAVOR of Trump re: jailing him…)
then … SCOTUS will be far more reluctant to rule in favor of any Trump election issues for FEAR
of being labeled “in the pocket of Trump and the Republicans”
Don’t bet on a SCOTUS 6-3 vote. If Trump wins 9-0 (or 8-1) like he did on the ballot access cases, the headlines will show that even the Democrats on the Court know it was government overreach. (Or they are trying to protect Biden should Trump win).

I’ve been thinking the exact same thing for a while. I can’t imagine this happening but I was wrong that he wouldn’t be convicted in a sham trial. It will be total chaos if the judge attempts to jail him, however, he has been totally shameless thus far so I don’t think he cares. After Trump is elected the first thing the DOJ should do is go after Bragg for selective prosecution. Then James, then Willis. Put a stop to this nonsense once and for all
This is what untrammeled power looks like. Alvin Bragg, backed up by the DOJ, the propaganda media and his handpicked Judge, Juan Merchan have it. and have shown they are not willing to use it. Stalin must be laughing in his grave. He actually had to work to purge his political opponents, build gulags, extract confessions, coerce witnesses, hire assassins. Alvin Bragg and his crew made it seem as easy as pie. As any kid ever menaced by schoolyard bullies can tell you, you cannot negotiate with the bullies, nor can you ask them politely to play by the rules. The worst case scenario is unlikely to play out as you describe. Even if he sentenced to jail time, which there’s really no precedent for, it’s likely to be stayed pending appeal. And even if he’s ordered to report to jail immediately, the Secret Service will be intimately involved with the NYPD. They would have to set up, a wing or section at the prison. The backlash to him going to jail would be even more severe and it’s very likely that an appeals court is going to be on standby to issue an emergency injunction because of the presidential campaign. And if he DOES go to jail, he’ll be a celebrity. They’ll love him. He’ll be the biggest martyr since Jesus himself. It basically doesn’t matter what they do—because everything they try backfires even worse than before.
I largely agree with your points- but think about what is happening to America: Left-leaning/Democrats District Attorneys are trying to put a former President of the United States in PRISON. Think about that for a few seconds… and then everyone who’s reading this realizes that America IS now a Banana Republic. This is what Stalin did in Russia, what Hitler and the SS did in Germany, what Third World dictatorships do to their political opponents… As an historian and long time student of politics, I am stunned and completely disgusted by what has been happening in the U.S. over the past 5-6 years. The Democrats don’t just dislike Trump- they DESPISE HIM AND WANT TO CRUSH HIM LIKE AN INSECT UNDER FOOT. They want to DESTROY him and anyone who disagrees with their far-left, radical policies. My personal belief is that what we are seeing from the Democrats/uniparty is merely a reflection of the lack of control they are feeling. The power apparatus that is now so apparent to many americans was simply not visible in the past. Look what has changed. A candidate, who was not controlled by either party won the presidency. The liberal news media created Trump because they thought he was the ONLY republican candidate that Hillary could beat. So they made him the center of every news cycle. And that fed his candidacy. But once he was elected, they needed to stop him and that caused them to take actions that became more obvious to the average American.
Additionally, the internet also allowed Americans to get information from each other and from voices that are not approved by the uniparty controlled media. That has been a huge challenge to the authoritarian power of the uniparty. We now have podcasters, like Joe Rogan, who simply ask normal questions that real Americans want to know. In the past, with total control of the media, the CIA was able to cover up the assassination of JFK. The uniparty/ elite/ intelligence apparatus cant control the narrative any longer.
The divide in the country now is a divide between those people who still believe the official uniparty mouthpieces, like CNN and NYT, as well as the integrity of academia, like Harvard and the medical journals, and those who see it is all a sham, a power grab by a segment of society that are engorging themselves at an ever greater pace, at the detriment of their fellow Americans.
So it isnt that the country has suddenly veered into authoritarianism. We have been controlled by a uniparty, elite, billionaire, CIA, deep state apparatus for many decades. It is merely the extent to which they are forced to go to maintain control that has changed.
I for one believe that the purge must be very deep. We need to cut government by half to strangle the funding for the beast. We need to secure the border and drain the country of illegal immigrants. We need to cut all educational loans and research for elite institutions that engage in 1) reverse discrimination known as DEI and 2) reduce enrollment of foreigners to less than 5% of student populations (and remove all Chinese citizens from our universities to prevent rampant intellectual property theft). We need to enact changes to taxation and international trade that brings a massive amount of factory production back to the US, not merely pushing it out of China into other countries (like Vietnam and Mexico).

This level of authoritariancontrol of all of our institutions (including, btw, the Catholic Church and the fair various NGO’s and other religions) did not spring up in the last 10 or 20 years, although it got a steroid boost with the election of Obama and then went into overdrive with the election of Trump. Your comment is well thought out. The question is the “Merchan Factor”. The judge determines all those parameters. If he wanted to, the Judge could sentence Trump to Rikers without ANY Secret Service protection. I agree, it’s all speculation at this point, but I’m being led by recent history; These Commies are capable of anything at this time.
Judge Merchan would not have the ability to strip Donald Trump of his Secret Service Protection, but he could very well sentence him to prison. The max for a New York “E” felony is 1 and a half years to four. Yes, they are all concurrent; the ‘345 counts; are merely duplicative of each other, but one and a half to four will do it. Unless you think that Bragg, Colangelo and Merchan are suddenly going to develop a sense of fair play. I wouldn’t bet on that.

How delusion can someone be. A democrat prosecutor that ran on a platform of getting Trump. A judge that sustained every objection by the prosecution and overruled every objection by the defense. A judge who absolutely flipped out when he excused jurors and excoriated a defense witness saying are you eyeballing me? They told the jury you can pick from three charges he may be used to enhance the charge while never causing the prosecution to prove a single element of a single crime to enhance a charge that was more than a year past it’s statute of limitations and you speak of this trail like it is god sent. Agreed. Further, Andrew McCarthy wrote a terrific column pointing out the egregious Constitutional Law violations in that trial. I haven’t practiced in over 20 years, and I still caught most of them, and I’m pretty sure that law students that have completed the academic year-long course in Con Law caught most of them. I have zero doubt that the case will be overturned.

July 11 has the potential to make Jan. 6 look like a love fest. Manhattan may start experiencing severe delays in food delivery.
So Trump is a CONVICTED FELON (what happened to Progressive lexicon speak, “justice impaired person ?) by deep blue jury pools and 2 cartoonish judges where 86% of the electorates votes Donkey Cratic on auto pilot. What alternative outcomes were possible if the trials in New York City had been remanded to purple jurisdictions ? There was no crime. The indictment never said what records were falsified because none were.
The Stormy NDA was never cited in the indictment because NDAs are permitted without question.
Trump’s checks to Cohen were in 2017 once Trump was in the White House so Trump obviously did not have a criminal intent to falsify or to cover up anything having to do with a completed election .
It was a hoax that NY appellate judges should have squelched once they saw corrupt Merchan moving forward with it.
Same occurred in the Letitia James case for civil damages for Trump producing fraudulent financial statements. Property owner valuations can – until a property is sold— only be guesstimated. Trump included disclaimers urging lenders to do their own appraisals. At worst, he committed puffery, and no one suffered any losses. Yet Trump is faced with a nearly $500 mm judgment. Another hoax by yet another dirty Democrat judge.
Lastly, Jean Carroll sued Trump for rape. The case was cooked up and paid for by a Dem tech mogul. The plaintiff had no memory of the year it occurred and produced no proof she had ever spent time alone with Trump. Federal judge Lewis A Kaplan cajoled a NY jury into hitting Trump with nearly $90 mm damages.
If Biden is re-elected, every non-Democrat in NY is vulnerable to one of these lawfare show trials. No one is free or safe in a state where the judges and juries care nothing about the law, only about partisan persecution.
Trump’s lawyers will have a writ of Habeus Corpus waiting to present to a federal judge immediately, if Merchan tries to have him locked up. Even a biden-appointed federal judge would approve it.
Merchan may sentence him to time but stay the sentence while on appeal.
Now understand, the Judge CAN sentence him and have him sit in jail while appealing …. and the media et al, will probably be clamoring for it, BUT ….
The most likely place an appeal will lead to overturning the verdict and declaring a mistrial — possibly even with prejudice ( meaning they can’t retry him ) is in the Federal Appeals Court.
However, the Federal Appeals Court really should wait until all State level appeals are done. A process of about 2 years.
thing is though, if Merchan sentences him immeadiately, blocking his ability to participate in just the RNC convention …. that impacts a Federal election and the Federal Appeals Court MUST take the appeal. Immediately. And render an emergency stay within 72 hours ( so he can go to the Convention ).
Judge Merchan and DA Bragg do NOT want the Federal Appeals court involved until they can no longer prevent it … sentencing to immediate jail not only will do that, not only would it probably piss the Federal Appeals Court off being FORCED to do that, but it will elcit at least 25-30 State Attorney Generals bringing charges within hours of election tampering against the Judge and DA — and those charges would have legs. This third point is important because it shows WHAT effect The Judge and DA’s theroy of county officials bring Federal charges can do. If they can? The 25 State AGs can — and against them too.
That whole scenario would not only bring the Federal Courts in — it would show them the problem of allowing the case to stand and they would probably not only stay the jail time while waiting appeal but declare a mistrial by the end of July if not by the end of August in a way that also kills all State AG charges.
Which would mean Biden can’t use the “34 time convicted Felon” chant after August — and he soooooooooo wants to!

Wouldn’t it be great if a groundswell of elected republicans (and maybe a few others), came out ahead of the sentencing saying that they would personally campaign for Trump in his place, should he be incarcerated? This would be an excellent way to model an appropriate response and disarm any scheme to provoke an exploitable incident after such a reckless verdict.
