Compliance with this deportation order led to his removal in August 2011.
However, Perez-Gomez managed yet another unlawful entry into the United States, eluding Border Patrol agents until his recent arrest. On August 19, he was arraigned in Nantucket District Court facing charges of indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 years or older. According to reports, Perez-Gomez allegedly assaulted a woman in his car after picking her up. He is currently in ICE custody pending a court appearance scheduled for October 28.
