A newly published study has unveiled alarming statistics about the dangers of gender surgery, revealing a suicide risk twelve times higher for those who undergo such procedures compared to those who do not. The extensive research, encompassing data from 56 U.S. healthcare organizations and over 90 million patients, scrutinized four distinct groups. This included 1,501 individuals aged 18-60 who had experienced “gender-affirming surgery” and 15.6 million adults who visited the emergency room without undergoing these controversial procedures.
The study, analyzing data from February 4, 2003, to February 4, 2023, focused on suicide attempts, deaths, self-harm, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) within five years of the index event. The distressing findings highlighted a 12.12-fold increase in suicide attempts among those who had undergone gender-affirming surgery.
These significant results starkly contrast with the radical narratives propagated by the Biden administration and other proponents of gender theory, who erroneously claim that “gender-affirming care” reduces suicide attempts among transgender individuals. Instead, the study underscores the urgent need for extensive psychiatric support post-surgery, as the procedures are undeniably linked to higher suicide risks.
DailyWire+ host Dr. Jordan B. Peterson vehemently criticized both President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for their lack of action against the harmful impacts of gender surgeries, particularly on children. He condemned the continual endorsement of these procedures in both countries, branding it as “utterly barbarous and inexcusable.”
Simultaneously, Dr. Hilary Cass has released a critical review in the UK, pointing out the hazards of child gender procedures. Echoing these concerns, a landmark study from Denmark reported last year that transgender-identifying individuals faced a suicide death rate 3.5 times higher and a suicide attempt rate 7.7 times higher than their non-transgender counterparts.
In light of mounting evidence against gender surgeries, several European countries have begun to reconsider and roll back their policies approving these irreversible treatments for minors. Numerous Republican-led states in the U.S. have also banned these procedures for children, although no federal action has been taken to curb these dangerous practices nationwide.
The data clearly indicates the profound risks associated with gender-affirming surgeries. It’s time to prioritize the well-being and mental health of individuals over destructive and radical ideological agendas.
