RINO Alert: Senate Republicans Confirm Radical FEC Chairman – Ensuring Leftist Climate Change Policy on Energy Beyond 2024 Elections

NationalRINO Alert: Senate Republicans Confirm Radical FEC Chairman - Ensuring Leftist Climate Change Policy on Energy Beyond 2024 Elections

The GOP simply cannot help themselves.  The rise of an anti-establishment, pro-business, populist like Donald J. Trump becomes much easier to understand when conservatives across the country see the old guard Republicans help seat yet another radical Biden cabinet nomination.

Establishment Republican Senators once again provide Biden the key votes necessary to confirm the nomination that hands Democrats and radical climate change agenda advocates control of the Federal Energy Commission beyond the 2024 election.  The confirmation of three new nominees to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) signifies an influential shift that will impact America’s energy landscape for years. This strategic victory ensures that Democrats maintain their majority in a key regulatory agency, fortifying President Joe Biden’s influence regardless of the upcoming election outcomes.

GOP Senators who confirmed the radical nomination include Senators Barisso, Cassidy, Collins, Cramer, Capo, Hyde-Smith Murkowski, Risell, Romney, Rounds, Till, Wicker and Young.  Notably, Senate Minority Leader Mconnell, Lyndsey Graham and Chuck Grassley also backed the radical Biden nominee.  Several of these Senators cast votes that were in states with significant oil and gas and other energy industries who opposed the nominations.

The Senate’s decisive votes approved Democrat Judy Chang, former undersecretary of Energy and Climate Solutions for Massachusetts, along with Democrat David Rosner and Republican Lindsey See. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Joe Manchin emphasized the importance of diverse perspectives in FERC decisions, underscoring that a five-member commission can more equitably balance the wide array of interests affected by regulatory outcomes.

Judy Chang’s confirmation, secured with a 63-33 vote, positions her as a pivotal figure in driving the agency’s regulatory agenda. Chang’s past as an energy official in Massachusetts is marked by her advocacy for climate change strategies and a move towards renewable energy. Despite scrutiny from Republicans concerned about her opposition to investing in pipelines within New England, Chang garnered significant bipartisan support.

David Rosner’s confirmation reflects a career pivot from being an energy analyst for FERC and a senior policy advisor at the Department of Energy. His experience spans roles that intertwine policy formulation with practical energy strategies, bolstering FERC’s depth in handling complex energy infrastructure issues.

Republican Lindsey See, endorsed by Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell, carries a distinct profile as the solicitor general of West Virginia. See’s notable role in the Supreme Court case West Virginia v. EPA, which curtailed the EPA’s authority over carbon emissions regulation from power plants, signifies a commitment to restraining overreach by federal agencies in favor of state and private sector autonomy.

With a solid Democratic majority until at least June 2026, expectations are high for FERC to lean significantly towards renewable energy initiatives. This is evidenced by last month’s landmark rule aimed at enhancing renewable transmission capacity and modernizing the aging power grid — critical components for future sustainability and reliability.

FERC’s recent approval of operations for the contentious Mountain Valley Pipeline underscores the complex balancing act of fostering energy development while grappling with environmental implications. This decision highlights the multi-faceted challenges the commission faces amidst evolving energy demands and environmental sustainability goals.

The confirmation of these commissioners is not merely procedural but fundamentally transformative for America’s energy regulation framework. By ensuring a combination of experienced policymakers, FERC is positioned to navigate the intricate landscape of balancing energy innovation, regulatory fairness, and national interests. As the nation looks towards the future of its energy policies, the decisions made by this commission will undoubtedly resonate through the corridors of power and into the daily lives of Americans.

  1. A clear example of how our government continues to sell us out. Both parties’ representatives are lined up at the feed trough of foreign interests and lobbyists, reaping massive donations while often voting against the wishes of their constituents. At the end of each week, I can envision a nondescript bar outside the beltway where members of both parties meet and tally the votes on who won or lost in the contest of TV soundbites (losers buy) while they chuckle aloud at the ignorance of the American voters who continue to pay them a salary to sell out our country. We have shamed our founders and their ideals. They likely never imagined that crooks, liars and thieves would populate the bodies they created to ensure our safety and liberty.
