This Christmas promises to be one of the best parties since John McClane blew the roof off Nakatomi Plaza back in the late ’80s. I know there may be a lot of concerned citizens out there coming to the party on promises of “Getting together, having a few laughs.”
Especially when you see pretty ladies like Tulsi Gabbard showing up waving their shiny party passes to the GOP. Also, some may want to take a step back when you see a cowboy like me yelling from the broken glass walls and ceiling, “WELCOME TO THE PARTY PAL!”
Not that long ago, President Trump probably felt the same way. And he likely believed that just because you wear a new brand and run for office, we can all be friends, because we are all American right? Yet today the biggest valid criticism against him is… he trusted too many rinos. A mistake from which he appears to have learned and is honestly trying to correct.
There are a lot of people today identifying as “Politically Homeless” taking the invitation to celebrate the American Dream. Hopefully, reason made you flee from the foreign liars, robbers, and murderers and run to family and friends who want to share what we have as long as you don’t act like one of the disinvited guests.
“A Republic, if you can keep it” is how Ben Franklin stated they made for us to Defend God Given Liberty through our Constitution and enjoy the Festivities of being a Patriot. Which among other things means, that being a Republican is not a hat to wear to a popular party.
Republicanism is the perception of what is Constitutional.
The GOP is actually not a party of personality, despite the appearances that are contrary to the values and convictions of our Founding Fathers, and great leaders who follow that legacy.
People moving to my great state of Texas are often greeted by signs proclaiming ‘This Is God’s Country,’ where passersby wave and hold doors open. And chances are relocating near a true Texan will earn you the friendly advice of, “just leave the politics of California behind when you move into our Republic and you will be welcome at our rodeos.”
It somewhat saddens me to hear from people like Tulsi, Elon, or Rogan, who say they didn’t leave their party; their party left them. But I know Reagan said much the same thing expressed by other personalities who shared that experience over time before Ronald became one of the greatest presidents of the 20th century that every modern president gets measured up against. I’d like to believe such good people were playing democrat because that hat looked cool to wear at the time, and they always had American values at heart.
One proud Republican to reflect on having that experience was Frederick Douglass when he became a freed slave and fought for abolition before the Civil War.
I know there are a lot of excuses to be ashamed of calling yourself Republican by the actions of others. A Republican being kind, is too often mistaken as weak, at best. No one wants to play on the losing team; and way too many have proven the proverb of being, “All hat and no cattle.”
Being a Republican doesn’t just give you a big hat to wear, but big boots to fill going in a straight line to our Founding Fathers and defend our Constitution to serve God and our country by your involvement.
I am not bringing that up to tear away what little clothing you may have to cope with the changing political winds in weather that seems as unpredictable as it gets from Texas.
I want you to understand that if you value our Constitution and have any respect for scary acting Christians, perhaps you’re missing the real action at the party and who the true guest is.
It is difficult to find solid ground while the tyrants pervert the plain meaning of words, as Samuel Adams noted the obvious. Noisemakers in your ear blowing kazoos to the tune of “two wings one bird” and other lyrics of “I’m neither left nor right” do not make that easy to find your sense of direction.
Especially when the neu-vogue term of “uniparty” has popped up in recent years to be often fired at every empty hat dancing in the crowd. Or create a valid argument of rinos who frolic and dance with the left while handing out their poison candy gumdrops to boys and girls who want the globalist prize.
Without morals, to stand on ethics, to defend what is conviction… political affiliation makes a poor cover to keep your head from being lost. Which I think the left has performed a fantastic service to our nation by letting their mask fall while offering their salads of words and joy for the empty belly being offered a platter of bugs.
And we all cast our votes against that, for what the reason may be to have elected President Trump and leave the madhouse behind for our own personal reasons.
This party is going to have a discussion over how much like those people we let our party show itself. And people who can act decent and civil are necessary for this to be a civil conversation.
Let me suggest that while you look at the Buffet that is this great melting pot of ideas and dreams in America, you skip the cakes offered in varying forms of self-indulgent, and self-fulfilling against biblical values. Instead, consider that cake that is self-sacrificial. You may find the cherry on top of that one came from George Washington’s personal cherry tree.
I want to wish everyone from me and mine, to you and yours, a very Merry Christmas America.
Trump is your present!
And may we enjoy many more and even better presents in our future!
